Arlington, MA, February 12, 2010

Calmetrix, supplier of innovative Quality Control solutions in the Cement and Concrete Industry today announced the appointment of Stan Elektrov as Vice President of Engineering.

“Stan brings an outstanding track record to Calmetrix, with very complementary skills to the rest of our team. His appointment reflects our focus on designing calorimeters where software and equipment are tightly integrated. This gives Calmetrix equipment the blend of user friendliness and high performance that our customers in the Concrete Industry are asking for.”, said Marc Zacharias, President of Calmetrix Inc. Calmetrix now has the perfect team to bring equipment and software design under the same roof.

“I am thrilled to join Calmetrix. Calorimetry is a proven technique, which has been used by a number of industries for decades, but is still in its infancy in the Concrete Industry. With ever more complex concrete mixes and new materials, I believe the potential for a tool like calorimetry is substantial”, added Stan Elektrov.
Calmetrix calorimeters are operated through its proprietary CalCommander suite of software applications. Bringing together the design of the software and the equipment in one product enhances the user experience and maximizes the potential of calorimetry as a Quality Control tool while maintaining user friendliness and reducing failure rates.
